Visiting JBs lair

JB's lair

I dropped by my friend JB’s lair last night- it was his birthday.  I think I caught him as he was persuading a stick of DRAM to fit into a DDR slot.  We mash up discarded computer components to make up donor machines to give to those who need one.

stack cutter delivery

Happy day, we just got a vintage paper stack cutter delivered.

challenge 19 inch stack cutter

A beast, weighing hundreds of pounds.  Made by Challenge, a 19″ cutter.  Not sure of it’s age, it is kinda timeless in technology.  The long horizontal arm is to raise and lower the cutting blade, the round wheel on top raises or lowers the stack holder.  Kind of like a first date- exciting, full of possibilities, and could maybe hurt you.  We’re going to use it for small test runs, trimming, and odd projects.

Took a break from the Lab, and had dinner with my girlfriend at the Wilburton Inn Tuesday night.  They serve a wonderful Vegetarian farmer’s buffet dinner.

Sketch and Signature packs

signature and sketch packets

Each box gets 10 signature cards, and 2 original art cards.  Cardhacks sends us numbered packets, with the allocated sets for the numbered box.  Really cool to open them up, and see all the art cards.  Many of the artists doodled on their signature cards, some even modifying them with cutouts and paint.  Love the Godbeast art cards.   Jesse Moore and Jason Atomic  cards are always in my favorites list.
